• GOAL 13: CLIMATE ACTION

Climate change affects everyone globally, from nations to economies and businesses to citizens-- impacting weather patterns, sea levels, natural resources and communities. The Earth’s average surface temperature is set to rise dangerously due to rising greenhouse gas emissions. Unfortunately, the poorest and most vulnerable individuals will be impacted the most by what is projected to be a rise of 3°C (or 37.4°F). Progress must be made to implement affordable, scalable renewable and clean energy options to reduce emissions immediately.

SAVE THE PLANET

“Climate change is a global challenge that does not respect national borders. Emissions anywhere affect people everywhere.”

– United Nations

The following facts can be found on the official website of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

It's time to face them.

These Are The Facts

+ .85 degrees Celsius

From 1880 to 2012, average global temperature increased by 0.85°C.

50% increase in emissions

Global emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) have increased by almost 50 percent since 1990.

Education on global warming

Major institutional and technological change will give a better than average chance that global warming will not exceed this threshold.

19cm sea level rise

Oceans have warmed, the amounts of snow and ice have diminished and sea levels have risen.

THE SOLUTION?

LET'S END CLIMATE CHANGE.

CHA
NGE

This Sustainable Development Goal strives to strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters in all countries as well as integrate climate change measures into national policies, strategies, and planning. It endeavors to improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning.

Stop Wishing. Start Doing.
